Cynthia York

Cynthia York joined the Friends Board of Directors two years ago, and is currently managing the development of the Friends website.

Cynthia has been interested in and an advocate for web accessibility for a number of years. She has has led staff workshops and conference presentations on the topic of web accessibility. Her other technology interests are web usability and user centered design for online learning environments.

She is employed at the Sheridan Libraries of the Johns Hopkins University as Project Manager in the research and development unit of the libraries, the Digital Research and Curation Centre.

When not involved in technology projects, she likes to travel, read, and spend time with her three young grandchildren.
